Madison!

It’s officially happening!

First, I would like to thank all of our Indiegogo contributors! Thirty six of you helped to make this happen…we seriously could not do this without all of you!

We kicked off the Guarded tour in Madison over this weekend! I am so pleased that the Madison chapter of the Gender and Women’s Studies Club hosted us…it was such an amazing experience. We had an insightful conversation about why we identify as feminists and talked about that in context of Guarded and other issues. Our discussions identified huge problems in regards to rape culture which made me so angry but also fueled the fire for why I’m doing what I’m doing.  I am so thrilled that so many passionate women came out with their support and opinions! Everyone I met there was so kind and welcoming.

Even just traveling and talking to people I meet about my work has extremely motivating due to how big of an issue I’m confronting. I met a student on the bus and we had a frank discussion about rape culture on college campuses. I am so upset that this is still an issue, but I’m hoping that through KT and my work we can shed and important light on it by pairing faces and voices with the problem.
